Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kate Lindsay and Tessa Jessen Lead Altamont to Victory

Altamont hadn't done well against Gunnison Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Longhorns skirted past the Bulldogs 3-2. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Altamont was led to victory by Tessa Jessen and Kate Lindsay. Jessen had 12 digs, while Lindsay had 24 digs, 11 kills, and three aces. That's the most digs Jessen has posted over her last nine contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Altamont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Altamont's win bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Gunnison Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 18 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Altamont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Milford on the 18th. As for Gunnison Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Water Canyon on the 18th.
