After a string of 14 wins dating back to last season, Sheridan's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cabot Panthers. The Yellowjackets were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five contests prior), but the Panthers' pitchers proved too tough.
Mason Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Skylar Sterritt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
