Central Woodstock and Luray are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Central Woodstock fell victim to Riverheads and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Gladiators, falling 10-0. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Strasburg hit Luray with a four-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 11-2 to the Rams. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Wood, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Central Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Luray, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Central Woodstock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Luray struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Central Woodstock came out on top in a nail-biter against Luray in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
