Baseball Recap: Ridgefield Takes a Loss

If Ridgefield was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Hudson's Bay last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spudders fell just short of the Columbia River Rapids by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ridgefield's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6. As for Columbia River, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

While Ridgefield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
