Recap: Landmark Christian War Eagles vs. Elite Scholars Academy Royal Knights
The Landmark Christian War Eagles's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 41-37 W over Elite Scholars Academy. Given Landmark Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Elite Scholars Academy is ranked 519th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Melody Painter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Nikolette Soden was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hannah Williams, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Promise Omelogu, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Landmark Christian has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Elite Scholars Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Landmark Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Elite Scholars Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
