Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pescadero

Pescadero came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the KIPP Esperanza Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pescadero was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-11, 25-6.

Pescadero's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quill Markegard, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most digs Markegard has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Rodriguez, who had five aces.

Pescadero's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for KIPP Esperanza, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pescadero will host Summit Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for KIPP Esperanza, they will be playing at home against East Palo Alto Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
