Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Niobrara/Verdigre). They blew past the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors 58-23 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 21-point performance the contest before.

Niobrara/Verdigre's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-21. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they are on a 35-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Coming up, Niobrara/Verdigre will take on Boyd County on Tuesday. Neligh-Oakdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
