Defeat or not, Battle Mountain got some senior leadership from Jazmin Johnson and Andrea Alcaraz-Lopez. Johnson had 26 digs and two aces, while Alcaraz-Lopez had 21 digs. Alcaraz-Lopez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.
Meanwhile, Silver Stage came up short against Sierra Lutheran on Friday and fell 3-1.
Silver Stage started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-10.
Silver Stage's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Battle Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Battle Mountain has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Silver Stage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
