Baseball Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton lost against Orange Park back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Stanton fell just short of Orange Park by a score of 6-5. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jhai Mosley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Stanton now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Orange Park, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stanton will square off against Raines at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Orange Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Tocoi Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Orange Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
