Baseball Recap: Smithfield Takes Down Ranked Westerly

Smithfield faced Westerly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Sentinels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Sentinels in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Smithfield's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Sylvester, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
