Softball Game Preview: Berkshire Badgers vs. Jefferson Area Falcons

The Berkshire Badgers will take on the Jefferson Area Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Berkshire is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Garfield just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the G-Men.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Area came up short against Perry on Thursday, falling 12-6.

Kennidie Rogers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Barress, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Berkshire's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Jefferson Area, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Berkshire might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Jefferson Area when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Can the Badgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
