Softball Recap: Southwest Guilford Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Southwest Guilford's offense. They came up short against the Glenn Bobcats on Wednesday, falling 6-0. Cowboys fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bobcats since on Wednesday.

Southwest Guilford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Patel, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwest Guilford and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Glenn, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Southwest Guilford will head out on the road to square off against Page at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Page has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.86 runs per game on average), something Southwest Guilford will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glenn, they will face off against East Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
