Rome came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the New Manchester Jaguar to the tune of 38-7. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.

Rome's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aidan McPherson led the charge by rushing for 103 yards and one score, while also throwing for 238 yards and one TD while completing 85% of his passes. Those 103 rushing yards gave McPherson a new career-high. A healthy portion of McPherson's aerial production (158 yards to be exact) went to Jeremy Winston, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Rome's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for New Manchester, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
