Basketball Game Preview: Summit Storm vs. Redmond Panthers

The Summit Storm are taking a road trip to face off against the Redmond Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Summit strolled past Lake Oswego with points to spare, taking the game 47-32.

Meanwhile, Redmond came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 67-47 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Summit pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Redmond, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Summit might still be hurting after the 60-40 defeat they got from Redmond in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Summit avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
