Volleyball Recap: Hammond Central Takes a Loss

Hammond Central lost against Chicago Washington back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves fell 2-0 to the Patriots. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20.

Hammond Central's offense was headlined by Hector Barajas and Jibsam Chavez, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Cesar Madriz and his ten assists. Gonzalo Villagomez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Hammond Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Chicago Washington, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.

Hammond Central has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Andrean on the 15th. As for Chicago Washington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Jones on the 15th.
