Softball Recap: Daniel Takes a Loss

Daniel was the 8-4 winner over Greer when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brynn Fitzpatrick and Lucy Maxon did some serious damage despite the final result: Fitzpatrick went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Maxon went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Gooch, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Daniel's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Greer, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-16-2.

As of now, neither Daniel nor the Yellow Jackets have any future games scheduled.
