Soccer Recap: Sparkman Comes Up Short

Sparkman lost against Albertville back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Senators fell just short of the Aggies by a score of 1-0. Sparkman have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sparkman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-3. As for Albertville, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparkman will head out to challenge Elkmont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sparkman will be up against Elkmont's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.69 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Albertville, they will square off against Grissom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Grissom will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Albertville surely won't give up without a fight.
