Baseball Recap: Edison Victorious

The Edison Tigers had just enough and edged out the Fresno Christian Eagles 6-5 on Monday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Donyae Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Anthony Cobian, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Edison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fresno Christian only posted a batting average of .200.

Edison is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Fresno Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

Edison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-1 defeat against Sanger on the 23rd. As for Fresno Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-3 win against Riverdale on the 22nd.
