Collinwood extends home winning streak to four

Recap: Collinwood Trojans vs. Perry County Vikings

The Collinwood Trojans proved they can win big on January 12th (they won by 29) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Perry County 46-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Collinwood.

Despite the defeat, Perry County had strong showings from Kaylee Byrd, who scored 19 points, and Cianna Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Wilson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Maddi Wright was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five assists.

Collinwood pushed their record up to 6-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Perry County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.

Coincidentally, Collinwood and Perry County will both be playing Hughes the next time they take the court. Perry County will host Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Collinwood will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
