Basketball Recap: East Jefferson Comes Up Short

East Jefferson suffered their closest loss since February 1, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Mary's Academy Cougars by a score of 46-43. The Warriors were probably out for revenge after losing 39-25 to them when the teams met back in December of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

East Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for St. Mary's Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.

While East Jefferson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
