Baseball Recap: Jim Thorpe Comes Up Short

Jim Thorpe lost against Pottsville back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Olympians came up short against the Crimson Tide, falling 11-4. The Olympians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah Pastor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Zack Murphy was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Jim Thorpe now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Pottsville, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jim Thorpe will take on Northwestern Lehigh at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pottsville, they will challenge Conrad Weiser at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
