Basketball Recap: Pleasant Ridge Rams vs. McLouth Bulldogs
The Pleasant Ridge Rams can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-11 win over McLouth on the road. Given Pleasant Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Maddie Heim had a dynamite game for Pleasant Ridge, scoring ten points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Heim is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Emma Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Pleasant Ridge and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for McLouth, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13-2.
Pleasant Ridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cobras at 6:00 p.m. As for McLouth, they will head out on the road to take on the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valley Falls focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
