Soccer Game Preview: Irwin County vs. Towns County

Irwin County will venture away from home to face off against Towns County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Irwin County is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Irwin County managed to keep up with Worth County until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Indians lost 7-2 to the Rams.

Meanwhile, Towns County hadn't done well against Lake Oconee Academy recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Indians never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Towns County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

Caden Coggins and Tucker Engert scored all three of Towns County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 31 goals.

Irwin County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Towns County, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
