            Basketball Recap: Peetz Bulldogs vs. Briggsdale Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            If Peetz was riding high  fresh off their  57-20 takedown of Belleview Christian last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Peetz Bulldogs took a  blow against the Briggsdale Falcons on Friday, falling  72-39. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  50-16.

Peetz's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Nataleigh Kalb, who  went 5-for-6  on her way to 11  points in addition to six  rebounds and three  steals. The dominant performance also gave  Kalb a new career-high in  shooting accuracy (83%). Another player making a difference was  Rylee Raffelson, who  posted ten points.
 Even though they lost, Peetz was working as a unit and  finished the game with 12  assists. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 4.1  assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 7.8.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Briggsdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Bailey Loyd, who  went 8-for-12  to rack up 21  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Claire Brown, who  went 7-for-15  en route to 16 points along with six  steals and five  assists.
Peetz has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost nine of their last ten games,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record  this season. As for Briggsdale,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-2.
 Peetz didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  45-41  victory against Potter-Dix on the 11th. As for Briggsdale, they have also  already played their next matchup,  a  52-36  defeat against Sedgwick County on the 8th.
