Baseball Recap: Fortuna Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

The third road game was the charm for Fortuna, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on the Point Arena Pirates with a sharp 8-1 win on Saturday. The Huskies not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Alex Sharkey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Cage Collins also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Fortuna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
