Flag Football Recap: Heritage Skates Past Vanden with Ease

Heritage waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Vanden Vikings to the tune of 27-0. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Vikings are ranked 206th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lily Brakel threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Riley Bayot was her top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and a pair of scores. On the ground, Payton Ladrido rushed for 73 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Vanden, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-0 win against Emerald on the 20th. As for Vanden, they have also already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Rodriguez on the 20th.
