Recap: West Cowboys vs. South Bulldogs
The West Cowboys lost against the South Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West fell 53-40 to South. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while South is ranked 103rd).
Among those leading the charge was Maurice Mccall, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Marquan Felts-Lipsey, who scored ten points.
West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for South, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.
West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Columbus Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 21st.
