Basketball Game Preview: Paoli Rams vs. Springs Valley Blackhawks

The Paoli Rams will venture away from home to take on the Springs Valley Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paoli knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Springs Valley likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Paoli against Eastern as the squad secured a 65-25 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Musketeers are ranked 369th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Springs Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Austin on Saturday and fell 34-32. The match marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Paoli will need focus on slowing down Evan Brown, one of several Springs Valley players who made an impact when they last played. He posted four points and nine boards.

Springs Valley's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Paoli, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Paoli beat Springs Valley 57-47 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paoli since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
