Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph-Ogden Comes Up Short

St. Joseph-Ogden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Prairie Central Hawks. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

St. Joseph-Ogden was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-23.

St. Joseph-Ogden's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Prairie Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Joseph-Ogden is set to square off against their familiar foe Paxton-Buckley-Loda at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Prairie Central will take on rival Illinois Valley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
