Basketball Game Preview: Silverado Hawks vs. Adelanto Saints

The Silverado Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Adelanto Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Silverado is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Fontana: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Silverado blew Fontana out of the water with a 79-51 final score. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meanwhile, Adelanto humbled Granite Hills with a 66-22 victory. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Cougars are ranked 1063rd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Silverado is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Adelanto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-5.

Silverado and Adelanto were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but Silverado came up empty-handed after a 56-55 loss. Can Silverado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
