Baseball Recap: Orchard Park Victorious

Orchard Park was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Frontier Falcons by a score of 4-1. The Quakers have beaten the Falcons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Zach Nalawadi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brody Monaco, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Orchard Park's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Frontier, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Orchard Park is taking a road trip to face off against St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frontier, they will take on Fredonia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
