Baseball Game Preview: GlenOak Golden Eagles vs. Berea-Midpark Titans

The GlenOak Golden Eagles will take on the Berea-Midpark Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (GlenOak has four wins , while Berea-Midpark has three).

Last Wednesday, it was close, but GlenOak sidestepped Buckeye for a 5-4 win. That's two games straight that the Golden Eagles have won by just one run.

Ben Sibert tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, GlenOak's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Krum, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Bryce Broom was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Berea-Midpark posted their closest win since April 29, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South, sneaking past 3-2.

Austin Mihalek looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Michael Samarin was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Litherland, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Berea-Midpark's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for GlenOak, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
