Volleyball Recap: Xavier College Prep Gators vs. Corona del Sol Aztecs        
        
		
             On Thursday, Xavier College Prep faced Corona del Sol in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Xavier College Prep Gators came out on top against the Corona del Sol Aztecs by a score of  3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
 The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 20-25,  25-20.
 Xavier College Prep got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Mattea Saunders out in front who  had 36  digs, two  aces,  and a  kill. Saunders has been hot recently, having  posted 13 or more  digs the last four times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Lenz, who  had 18  digs.
 Xavier College Prep  kept the net locked down and  finished the game with ten  blocks. That's the most  blocks they've posted  in their last four  games.
 Despite the loss, Corona del Sol still got an impressive performance from   Avalon Legg, who  had 24  digs.
 Xavier College Prep's win was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 24-3. As for Corona del Sol, their loss  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 30-5.
 Xavier College Prep has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Desert Vista at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Corona del Sol, they will face off against Pinnacle at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Corona del Sol is facing Pinnacle at the right time seeing as Pinnacle is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
