Basketball Recap: St. Charles West Triumphs

While St. Charles West didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the North Point Grizzlies on Saturday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Charles West and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for North Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

St. Charles West will square off against Duchesne at 5:45 p.m. on January 6th. As for North Point, they will challenge Parkway West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
