Volleyball Recap: Warner Comes Up Short

If Warner was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Borrego Springs on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Mountain Empire Redhawks on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Redhawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Warner took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-15.

Warner's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mountain Empire, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

Warner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Julian on the 7th. As for Mountain Empire, they will host Ocean View Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
