Football Game Preview: Grants Pass Cavemen vs. Sprague Olympians

Grants Pass is 0-3 against Sprague since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Cavemen are taking a road trip to challenge the Olympians at 7:00 p.m. Grants Pass has given up an average of 36.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Grants Pass is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Silverton on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cavemen lost 40-16 to the Foxes. The matchup marked the Cavemen's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Sprague was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 13-7 to South Medford.

Sprague now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Grants Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Grants Pass and Sprague were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but Grants Pass came up empty-handed after a 41-40 defeat. Can the Cavemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
