Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastwood). They put the hurt on the Franklin Cougars with a sharp 71-45 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Troopers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Eastwood had a senior duo take command as Devin Falk-Ramirez dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists and Edward Avila went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Those ten assists set a new season-high mark for Falk-Ramirez. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Butler, who posted nine points.

Eastwood is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

Eastwood and Franklin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Eastwood will face off against Pebble Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 228 places (126 vs. 354). Eastwood is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. Similarly, Franklin (ranked 438th) will meet Socorro (ranked 1032nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
