South Central hasn't had much luck against Southwestern recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. South Central will look to defend their home field against Southwestern at 11:00 a.m.

On Thursday, South Central didn't have quite enough to beat Clarksville and fell 2-1. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylee Chanley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Southwestern made easy work of Jac-Cen-Del on Friday and carried off a 10-2 win. Considering the Rebels have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Chloey Leach made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Leach was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Riley Crawford was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lilly Fox was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Southwestern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Southwestern, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.
