Despite the defeat, Sylva Bay Academy got top-tier performance from Brody Boyd, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds Boyd has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Timothy Moss, who put up five points and five boards.

Meanwhile, West Memphis Christian humbled North Sunflower Academy with a 72-28 victory. The Black Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 26 points or more this season.

Sylva Bay Academy's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for West Memphis Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
