Volleyball Preview: Herrin Tigers vs. Mt. Vernon Rams
Herrin is 4-0 against Mt. Vernon since September of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Herrin Tigers will take on the Mt. Vernon Rams at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Marion.
The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.
Herrin's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 9-19.
Herrin was able to grind out a solid win over Mt. Vernon in their previous matchup back in October of 2019, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Herrin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
