The Nease Panthers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They breezed by Flagler Palm Coast at home to the tune of 47-12. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Nease has managed all season.
Leading Nease to victory were Daniela Reich and McKenna Owens. Reich scored 11 points along with three steals, while Owens scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Owens pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shruthika Kondabrolu, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Nease's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Nease will be home for the holidays to greet Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nease in Florida (Columbia is ranked 103rd, while Nease is ranked 332nd). As for Flagler Palm Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against Titusville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
