The Limestone Rockets will face off against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Limestone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Limestone proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Illinois Valley Central 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Kleist, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Romeoville an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Nazareth Academy's win was their 32nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Limestone, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
