For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Middle Park and Summit meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 19-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Middle Park's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Summit, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Middle Park will head out to challenge Platte Canyon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Summit, they will square off against Steamboat Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sailors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.05 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
