Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-5 to the Taunton Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Taunton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Franklin will head out to face off against Attleboro at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Taunton, they will venture away from home to take on Sharon at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
