Volleyball Recap: O'neill Starts Season with Win at Home

O'Neill took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They put the hurt on the South Sioux City Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

O'Neill's got stronger as the match went on, holding South Sioux City to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Serena Chavez, who had nine digs and one assist.

Coming up, O'Neill is taking a road trip to square off against Elkhorn Valley on Tuesday. As for South Sioux City, they will face off against Columbus at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
