Volleyball Recap: Caledonia Comes Up Short

Caledonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Byron Center Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 24-26, 25-17.

Aubrey Reynolds paced Caledonia's offense, picking up 18 kills. Reynolds got some help from Reese Stafford and her 17 assists.

Caledonia's defeat dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Byron Center, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 23-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Caledonia will take on rival Mona Shores at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Byron Center is set to challenge their familiar foe Jenison at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
