Basketball Recap: Rhea County Takes a Loss

Rhea County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Farragut Admirals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Golden Eagles have suffered since November 25, 2025.

Rhea County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Farragut, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Rhea County has already played their next contest, a 50-49 win against Ooltewah on the 2nd. As for Farragut, they will face off against Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Admirals' defense better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 51.5 points per game this season.
