Volleyball Recap: Danny Shi and Alex Williams Secure Win for Howell North

Howell North had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Liberty Eagles by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on April 3rd.

Howell North was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-28, 25-12, 25-17.

Leading Howell North to victory were Alex Williams and Danny Shi. Williams had 17 digs, while Shi had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Williams has posted over his last five games.

They weren't the only good server: Howell North was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matchups.

Howell North's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howell North will head out to face off against Troy-Buchanan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty, they will venture away from home to challenge Howell Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
