Basketball Recap: Tuloso-Midway Takes a Loss

Tuloso-Midway saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 46-34 to the Davenport Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Warriors & Cherokees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 807th, while the Wolves are ranked 182nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Tuloso-Midway and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Davenport, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Tuloso-Midway will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Robstown at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Davenport, they and La Vernia will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. La Vernia has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three games.
