Basketball Recap: Dreher Comes Up Short

Dreher played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Camden Bulldogs and fell 75-40. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-22.

Leading Camden to victory were Morgan Champion and Shanaryah Wright. Champion went 9 for 17 on her way to 24 points in addition to six boards and five assists, while Wright dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Those 16 points gave Wright a new career-high. Harmony Jefferson was another key player, putting up six points and 12 steals.

Dreher has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Camden, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Dreher has already played their next game (against Richland Northeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Camden will be playing in front of their home fans against South Pointe at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. South Pointe will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something Camden surely won't give up without a fight.
